Coffee from Julian Semenov

Coffee from Julian Semenov

Ingredients

Freshly ground coffee 2 h l
water 100 ml
honey 1 tsp
a quarter clove of garlic

Cooking method

  • A ready-made recipe for an unusual coffee can be found in one of the books by Yulian Semenov about Stirlitz "Expansion". “Jacobs went to the fireplace, where he had a coffee grinder and a small electric stove with copper turrets. Disputedly and beautifully, somehow magically, he began to make coffee, explaining at the same time:
  • - In Ankara they gave me a recipe, it is fabulous. Instead of sugar - a spoonful of honey, very liquid, preferably linden, a quarter of a clove of garlic, this ties together the meaning of coffee and honey, and, most importantly, do not let it boil.
  • All that has boiled is meaningless. After all, people who have endured excessive overloads - physical and moral - are losing themselves, don't you think? "

Note

Julian Semyonov gave us many of our favorite literary and film characters. We all know them, remember and love them. But, probably, not everyone knows that Semyonov was an avid connoisseur of coffee. His recipe with a seemingly wild combination of ingredients will be appreciated by coffee lovers. Try it - you won't regret it!

beautiful serving of delicious coffee!
Aunt Besya
I understand that this is a competitive recipe?
Twist
Aunt Besya, the recipe is really literary, and the most amazing thing is that the coffee is really delicious! I can't explain how this combination works, but the coffee is excellent. I didn’t dare to experiment for a long time, but I tried it and I don’t regret it.
Joy
Marisha, how to cook it? Put everything in cold water, heat to a boil, but not boil, right? And just put the garlic in a quarter, do not cut it?
It's very interesting how it will turn out - I love coffee, although I drink it only once a month, as I arrange a holiday for myself.
Twist
Marisha, I pour cold, put a whole piece of garlic. I take a quarter from a clove of "average" size, so as not to overdo it. I put the turkey on medium heat and, stirring, bring it until a beautiful foam appears, without letting it boil according to the recommendations.
Joy
Marinochka, I made this coffee - it turned out delicious. A light honey note is very pleasant. But I didn't feel the garlic, but I think it invisibly does its job in coffee. Thank you very much for the recipe. I didn't take a photo - I tried it, but I will definitely do it next time.
In general, the coffee turned out to be relevant for the season - anti-cold, and even delicious.
Twist
Marisha, I am glad that the coffee was to my taste. There should be no taste or smell of garlic. If you choose the right balance (garlic-honey), then the coffee seems to be slightly spicy (the essential oils of garlic work) and at the same time sweet. But the speck is not as pronounced as when adding pepper, cardamom, or other spices. And it does not clog the taste of coffee at all, but manifests it.

And about the preventive component - thank you. Took a note.
Lana
Marina, thanks for the recipe!
This coffee was made for us by my dad, an inveterate lover of detective stories and Juliana Semyonova.
Only he did not cut a clove of garlic, but peeled and threw the whole clove!

During my short lecture, I mentioned that I brought a sample with me
a newly discovered substance (sulfonylurea derivative), which is completely
tasteless for 40 percent of humanity, and bitter for the rest of it,
like quinine, and what can I suggest to everyone to try this experiment.
Later, when I took out a small box full of white powder like
for flour, I was surrounded by a crowd of German Herren Professoren and their Frauen,
stretching out wet fingers and shouting: Bitte, bitte! (You are welcome,
you are welcome!)
This was followed by a general dispute and pandemonium.
"No - he has no taste!"
"On the contrary. You have no taste!"
"He's terribly bitter!"
They almost fought over it. "

What am I doing? People have a different set of preferred tastes and smells. If I do not feel that some dish is "Wow and Ah!", And others say that they liked it, then I am not saying that these people are fantasizing. As my friend says, felt-tip pens taste and color are different.

Well said!! There is such a recipe, it is beautifully designed by the author ..
And the taste is an individual matter, to someone and "blamange-polynya .."

Once again, I want to say thank you so much for the coffee recipe.
Today we came to visit my parents and I cooked them for breakfast, then my sister came to cook for her too, and so nobody felt the coffee in garlic, but the taste of coffee. Even dad, who is very skeptical about all the innovations and appreciated it.
Twist
Halla, melrin, THANKS!
Elenka
Marinochka, and I thank you and delight! Pts. delicious and aromatic! The honey note is incomparable, but the garlic is not felt at all, but it makes some contribution.
I will cook often ...

I usually drink coffee only on weekends, but today I wanted it so, and it was with garlic (I put a whole clove) and honey. I brew this kind of coffee, but not often. I enjoyed it. Marina, thanks for the recipe!

Oh, it's a pity, I already had breakfast, I got drunk, but I will definitely brew it in a Turkish coffee maker VEKO .. I know this method, but I forgot it .. my aunt brewed in a geyser coffee maker, and bought ground coffee in "Tea-Coffee" on Myasnitskaya ( now), but that was 20 years ago and that aroma of freshly ground coffee hammered everything in the world
GuGu
I could not resist, I brewed it in the CENTURY .. it turned out to be unusually tasty and the coffee, a gift for the coffee maker on which I scored, "sounded" in a completely different way Thank you !!!
Kokoschka
GuGu, Natasha, thank you for poking my nose at the recipe, haven't tried it yet, but it's very interesting, tomorrow I'll write my impressions !!!
Lilida
Girls, I read in some book, to make coffee tastier, you need to rub a Turk with garlic.
Valerka
LilidaWhen I had the opportunity to buy green coffee beans to roast myself, that's what I did. I rubbed a cast-iron pan with garlic, then fry the grains on it until tender. The scent was brighter.
Kokoschka
I tried the coffee today. what is interesting is neither sweets (I do not like it in coffee) nor garlic !!!!
GuGu
Lily, here I am about the same! Today I cooked it so good again
TatianaSa
