Ingredients

grape berries on twigs (sour grapes can be used) half a can
water 1 l
sugar 250 g
citric acid (optional) on the tip of a knife

Cooking method

  • 2 times filling. 3 liter jars (peeled and sterile) fill with grapes on twigs (wash and remove spoiled berries) no more than 1/2 can, pour boiling syrup (for 1 liter of water 250 grams of sugar), cover p / e lid and leave for 5-6 minutes. then drain the syrup, boil again, add citric acid to the jar on the tip of a knife, pour over the syrup. to the very neck, immediately roll up with a sterile boiled lid, turn it upside down, wrap it up and leave for 24 hours.
  • I also made an apple-grape compote, whole apples, 2/3 jars of grapes

Note

I took sour grapes for this compote, it was impossible to eat it (relatives brought it from the village), therefore I did not add lemon, but the compote turned out to be abalden, fragrant, sweet and sour, like real juice !!!!!! I also put here a photo of a compote with apples and grapes, this year they brought less grapes, but there are much more apples)))

And we made grape compotes without citric acid at all. And we usually put grapes almost to the eyeballs. Then it turns out, of course, not quite a compote, but more grapes in syrup, but super tasty! By the way, very tasty from Isabella variety. It turns out so rich, just homemade wine! No photos, sorry. Fotik ordered to live long!

I also made such grape compote, but wine. I take less than in the recipe from drying and without citric acid. In a three-liter jar (pre-doused with boiling water) I place one brush of white grapes and one brush of blue. The grapes fill the jar by 1/4, the compote turns out to be sweet.
