Romanian pie with cottage cheese

Ingredients

For the test:
Milk 85 ml
Butter 85 g
Egg 1 PC.
Sugar 6 tbsp. l.
Vanilla 1 g
Baking powder 10 g
Flour 350 g
Salt on the tip of a knife
For filling:
Mashed curd 500 g
Sugar (more) 3-4 tbsp. l.
Semolina 2 tbsp. l.
Egg 2 pcs.
Zest of one orange
Vanilla 1 g
Raisins 100 g
Walnuts (dry and chop) 50 g

Cooking method

  • Pour milk into a saucepan, add sugar and diced butter. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook until the sugar and butter are melted. Cool to about 30aboutFROM
  • Mix everything for the filling and heat the oven to 180aboutFROM.
  • Sift flour.
  • Add an egg to the milk mixture, stir until smooth. Pour in baking powder and mix quickly (the mass foams!).
  • Pour the milk and egg mixture into the flour and knead to a smooth dough.
  • Divide the dough into 2 almost equal parts.
  • On a piece of baking paper, roll out a smaller piece into a 20 x 30 cm rectangle. While rolling, you can add some flour.
  • Transfer the dough sheet to a baking sheet and cover with an even layer of filling.
  • Take another sheet of baking paper and roll out the second part of the dough into a 34 X 24 cm rectangle, wind it with the paper onto a rolling pin (with the dough outward, paper inward), transfer and unfold over the filling, covering it. fix the sides well, prick the top in many places with a fork.
  • Allow to cool and sprinkle with icing sugar and chop.
