Fish from the Eskimos

Ingredients

halibut fillet (pollock in chunks) 1 kg
melted butter 1 tbsp. l.
large onion 1 PC.
sour cream 150 ml
mayonnaise 150 ml
grated parmesan (cheese 1/4 cup
crumbled cracker 1/2 cup
juice of a third or a quarter of a lemon
salt pepper taste

Cooking method

  • The Eskimos of Alaska, according to Discovery magazine, are big fish lovers. The lunch menu of Alaska restaurants is a real fish feast: halibut and five species of salmon fish (sockeye salmon, chinook salmon, pink salmon, chum salmon, coho salmon). Off the coast of Alaska, it turns out that you can catch truly outstanding halibut, Olympic size, weighing up to 10 kilograms. The magazine offered a recipe for "Olympic halibut". I didn't have halibut, but pollock was at hand, and it was too lazy to cut it into fillets ... (forgive me, dear Eskimos ...)
  • Melt the butter directly in the oven, and then put onion on it, cut into quarter rings (I rubbed one carrot on a coarse grater), a fish sprinkled with salt, pepper and fish seasoning, then grease everything generously with sour cream and mayonnaise sauce and lemon juice (I had thick homemade sour cream, so I took more of it, and less mayonnaise, plus the juice of half a lemon).
  • Fish from the Eskimos
  • Grind the cracker in a plastic bag with a rolling pin and sprinkle on top.
  • Fish from the Eskimos
  • Fish from the Eskimos
  • Send the form to an oven preheated to 180-190 degrees for 20 minutes. Then remove the form from the oven, sprinkle the fish with grated cheese on top and send it back to bake for another ten minutes.
  • Unusually tasty, apparently, a very successful sauce, and the cracker crumbs were soaked in it and a successful combination of all the ingredients turned out.
  • Fish from the Eskimos
  • Many thanks to the Eskimos !!!

I sit, make a project for our Catherine Church and think: "So what, what a fast! We need to cook Gasha's fish (Fisherman's cod) tomorrow. God will forgive me." And here, bang !!! Is this what God allowed? Or is Gasha reading my mind? Right now, I'll place the fire detectors on the plan and go out of the freezer to retrieve the fish

Gasha, I understand, I am not only an ichteophagus, I am an Eskimo!

My daughter, when she was little, used to say, Eskimo ... and I thought that they, Eskimos, eat ice cream, Eskimo from morning to night ... Ball !!!
No, a fish, however ...
matroskin_kot
I did this fish yesterday .... But, muksun, I won't take the local spill anymore .... I was too old ... Therefore, I melted the fish, if possible, for my husband, and ate the sauce itself. Sauce, a fairy tale in general ... I didn't even expect that it was so delicious ... It was clearly not enough for me ...
I did it without cheese, our uncle doesn't eat melted cheese, well, he doesn't eat ... Photo - in the evening, because there is no radical at work ...
And I would have to figure it out with the oven ... I forgot where the buttons are ...
I will repeat it with halibut, definitely ... especially since I still have a lot of crackers ...
Gasha
I'm embarrassed to ask, when is your evening there? For I have right now - three nights ...

People live ... She's not the muksun, give her halibut ...

But we are similar ... I have cracker too - heaps !!!

Don't forget about the photo!
matroskin_kot
The difference with Moscow is 8 hours. At three nights, we are already working noon. And sho you think, the bratelnik of muksun did not become-gaddd. My husband, yearning for a fish, hid it in the refrigerator ... He said that he would eat it tomorrow at lunch ...

Yesterday I could not stand the Extinguished Fish Onslaught and went to fishing market. I caught a catfish there and cooked it!
I don't know what the Eskimos think about this recipe, but we really liked it. Delicate fish, delicious sauce, crispy top, mmmm
Gashenka, thank you so much!
Gasha
Man, yes to your health !!! We are Eskimos, very happy !!!

It has been in the bookmarks for a long time, and now it is in the oven. Cod fillet. Gasha, and you baked on convection, or just like that - top-bottom. Cheese has not been poured yet ...
Gasha
Top-bottom ... Galyun, I've had a gas oven all my life, so I often forget about convection ... Tell me later, how is it, huh?

[Tell me later how it is, huh?

I’m telling you ... We’ve already eaten! I was afraid to oversalt as a result did not add more salt. The crust on top is delicious. The fish is tender, the sauce is delicious. For some reason, a lot of juice turned out (the fish was dried with napkins), as a result, almost boiled fish. I think that cold it will be tastier. Maybe the cod was just very large? Or take a larger form so that the pieces do not lie so tightly? You also need to try with another fish. I baked sea bass in large chunks (not fillets) in a similar way, only I didn't add sour cream there, and I didn't sprinkle with crackers. The recipe is good and not confusing, and healthy. My people love fried food more and more, and I'm trying to translate them into harmless food ... Gasha, thanks! I love your recipes!
Gasha
And thank you, honey, for the kind words! And - to your health!
lega
Gasha, today I really liked this fish from the refrigerator .. today there is even a norm of salt in it. Here's how it turns out in hot saltiness, but in a cold one? By the way, my husband approved the fish ..
Gasha
Well Duc for husbands and cook !!!
Antonovka
Ganechka,
and why haven't I cooked your fish for so long ?? Now the first 20 minutes in the oven are expiring - the aroma is breathtaking, I have no more strength to endure

________________________ _______________________

I tried it, very, very tasty! My little men really liked it and the dachshund walked in circles
Gasha
Lenok, did you get a piece of your dachshund?
Rita
Aha! Here she is! Gotcha !!!

Antonovka lured into the aroma of fish!
Antonovka
I then gave the dachshund a baking sheet to lick, although it is unhygienic
Pilgrim73
Girls! You describe everything so deliciously !!! I went, took out of the freezer carcasses of pollock, ice and some other unidentified person. I'll have an Eskimo fish for dinner tonight!
Giraffe
Well, what is it called pollock is there and there are no crackers? And on the street -40 and the wind is getting stronger. Well, I’ll live until Saturday, and there you don’t want to, but we’ll go for groceries. Interested in the question: if I poyzgolyatsya and fillet, guests are not ashamed to serve pollock in this form? And then the husband's brother will declare that he is a miser. I just have good pollock as much as possible in our city. They gave me a tip from where he travels to all retail outlets. I was stunned when I compared it with what customers already get. : oAfter pre-sale preparation. Well, for now, I'll think about the topic of using a multicooker for this dish. Gasha, I do not say goodbye to this topic.
Gasha
Tanya, personally I think that serving pollock prepared in this way is not a shame to serve to guests ... But after all, everyone has different tastes
Pilgrim73
I am grateful for a very tasty recipe for cooking fish! Awesome crust, the most delicate sauce, sweet fish ... mmm ... We all liked it. I will definitely repeat, but only with fish fillets (the bones interfered quickly). Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Gasha
To your health!

Gasha, I bring you THANKS for this recipe on behalf of my new and young neighbor. I got a piece of fish for renting your recipe - very tasty. Only the youngsters have replaced the absence of a cracker with "pickled cucumber chips." I sent you +++ to put at the request of the workers.
Gasha
Marish, it's very nice that the recipe went to the neighbors ...
Pilgrim73
Gasha! I again cooked your fish from the Eskimos for dinner today. Only this time with halibut fillet. How delicious it is! Melting tenderness in the mouth. Even children who were not particularly fond of fish ate it by both cheeks! I absolutely love this recipe. Thanks for the yummy!
Gasha
To your health, Lyudok!
zorry
Thanks a lot for the recipe! Delicious. True, I had an overlap with sour cream, but I had kefir. It turned out to be even juicier.
But for this recipe you need to take a file. I had king-clip carcasses - delicious, of course, but it's so annoying to dig in bones. I will repeat it with fillet, because the recipe is not tense, and the result is amazing.
Gasha
zorry, to your health! I am glad that the fish was to your taste!
AZal
Delicious halibut dish! Thank you!
