Sugar 50 g
Butter 100 g
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Upper layer:
Butter 100 g

Cooking method

  • Preparing the bottom layer. Combine flour, sugar, butter. Grind into crumbs.
  • Distribute evenly over the shape (I have a silicone d24cm).
  • Cut dried apricots, mix with raisins. Put on crumb.
  • Mix products for the top layer. Put the mass on top.
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 200C until golden brown. I baked without control for 45 minutes and the top turned out to be dark.

  • After cooling, cut into strips.
  • Almond strips with dried apricots

Note

the recipe is taken from the book by A. Seleznev "Homemade baking"
Soft almonds on top, sour dried apricots in the middle and shortbread crumbly dough on the bottom - FUNNY !!!! (y) I recommend!

Frau
A very interesting recipe. I love almonds.
Question. Is it possible to do without dried apricots and raisins? My children do not really like them, and to be honest, I do too
And yet, is it appropriate to use marzipan glaze here?
Omela
Gasha, Theophania, Thank you!

You can do it. But all the same, something must be put inside. You can use prunes, for example.

I do not know what marzipan glaze is, but I suspect that it hardens after curing. Here, the top is like soft macaroons. Therefore, I would not make such a replacement.

Tanyusha , good luck!
Frau
Marzipan glaze does not harden when it hardens; it resembles toothpaste in consistency if not put in the refrigerator.
I'm a fan of marzipan and marzipan bread. Bought on the occasion in METRO two packs of 5 pieces of Dr / Oetker marzipan glaze? now I shove her everywhere

Frau, shove it! I don’t know how much and in what proportions to put it.

Mistletochka -Ksyusha Share the secret of how you get this pie out of the mold I just baked it, though instead of dried apricots (I don't have it) I put fresh plums, the chuyka tells me that, but I can't get it, it's like I'm alive, I'm afraid to cut it in the mold cut through silicone (already have experience)
nut
Mustache, pulled out the Virgin - it's such a delicious, do it - you won't regret it
Omela
Ir, I left it in the form until it cooled completely, and then turned it over onto a plate of a suitable diameter.

klila
Omela, and ground almonds to what state?
Omela
klila , I ground to the "last" state, one might say "into dust". But if there are pieces left, it's okay - there will be blotches.
nut
Nooo, I'm not dust, but so that the pieces are tiny - I always grind it in a blender, I like it this way and I also had little almonds, so I used hazelnuts
Savelieva
Girls, I can ask you a question, otherwise I will soon be drooling, so I want to repeat your work.
Almond flour and ground almonds are one and the same. I have the first one.
Omela
Girls, I went to specially read about almond flour, they write that it is the same as almonds.

shl. And I shake it finely so that the child does not accidentally choke on the nut.
Twist
Omela, peeled almonds to use? Am I getting it right?
nut
I cleaned and then dried it and broke it with a blender
Omela
I didn't clean ...

Omela, peeled almonds to use? Am I getting it right?

Fill the almonds with boiling water and leave under the lid for 7-10 minutes. The fresher the almonds are, the less time they need. Drain the boiling water, pour over with ice water and peel off with your fingers. "Correct" almonds peel off very quickly. Then we dry it in a microwave or oven.
If the almonds are fresh, completely fresh, then you can grind them with the skin, the old skin will spoil the whole taste.
In our latitudes, completely fresh almonds are hard to buy, so I always shell.

If there is a small handful of different nuts, except for walnuts, I scroll everything together through a meat grinder 1 time, add a little honey and rose water, ground cardamom and vanilla. It turns out a wonderful paste for fillings or just for bread.
Omela
I remembered why I didn't peel the almonds! Subtracted that the skin contains 10 times more antioxidants than the nut itself. How!
