Potato grandma

Ingredients

Raw potatoes 500 g
Raw onions 1 PC
Chicken egg 1
Sour cream fat and thick 2 tbsp. l.
Salt taste

Cooking method

  • Peel the potatoes, three together with onions on a coarse grater, add salt, pepper and 1 tbsp. l sour cream.
  • Grease the baking dish with oil, spread the potato mass, spread the shaving brush on top - 1 tbsp. l. sour cream mixed with a raw egg.
  • Put in the oven at T200 and bake until the top crust is well browned, about 40 minutes.
  • This is a basic recipe.
  • Can be cooked with any filling - mushrooms, cheese, meat, etc.
  • Prepare the filling separately, first put the potato mass into the mold, then the filling and again the potato mass on top. The layer of potato mass should not be higher than 4 cm, optimally 2 cm.

It's like potato pancakes - someone adds an egg with flour, someone does it with a bake, someone squeezes the juice, someone fries an onion, or you can just put raw onion in the mass and fry it together.
I don't squeeze potato juice either from potato pancakes or from grandma, I rub raw onions along with potatoes; so that the mass does not darken sharply, I add sour cream. I never add flour and eggs to the mass.

Mushrooms, of course, are best fried with onions until tender.
Granny is good without filling too; but this is a matter of taste. I can eat potato pancakes and grandmother without anything a lot.
