I would like to know if anyone else has such a thing as the Saturn ST-MC9180 multicooker? Or am I alone the happy owner of such a miracle ????
Tatuli
So far, quiet ... And I would like to know what your miracle can do? I have Aurora. I'm thinking about which MV to buy my daughter ...
Boba
My MIRACLE, bakes, stews, steams, maintains the temperature for 24 hours, fries, there is a soup-porridge program, there are turbo and regular programs (I would like to know more about these two programs). This multicooker is a twin of POLARIS PMC 0506 AD. I just don't know how much they have similar programs ... But the dose is one to one. Can anyone know? I would be grateful for any information.
Gracie
Boba, apparently, you are the only owner of this Saturn, so questions will be for you. I was interested in purchasing this multi, attracted by the large available volume of preparation, design, programs, price, but its novelty scares. Therefore, I have a bunch of questions ripe ...
1. Is there really 3D heating?
2. Dimensions are multi?
3. Compliance of the programs declared by the manufacturer with reality.
4. Saucepan; overall dimensions, weight, color, thickness?
5. Is there a manual and a recipe book?
6. Personal feelings: neat appearance? Are there fingerprints on metal parts? how is plastic? buttons easy to press?
Well, and in more detail to learn about the programs: for how long? the ability to increase, decrease? mode selection? can everything be used as a deferral? do not milk porridge "run away"? yogurt can be done (there is a special program)?
I would very much like to know ... I would be very grateful! And if only to see real photos ...
Boba
Gracie, I’ll answer your questions: my MB itself is not small, its length is 40cm, width is 26cm, height is 20cm, but in my kitchen (10m) it does not seem huge. A friend said that for her kitchen (half the size of mine), the CF will be large and take up a lot of space. The volume of the bowl is 5 liters, with a good coating. The bowl is not light, rather heavy. For this MV, the manufacturer gives a 2-year guarantee, which is not unimportant ... They write 3D heating, but they bake a manna, charlotte, a liquid cheesecake - the top is not baked, but like all MVs it remains light. There is no sound signal after the end of cooking, but for me it doesn't matter. There is an instruction, the cooking time is scheduled according to the programs. The recipe book is of course primitive, I don't cook anything from it. And I cook according to recipes from here. Includes measuring cup, double boiler, flat spoon and tablespoon. I wipe the case with a damp cloth (dust off), there are no streaks or streaks, everything is neat. The programs on which I cook (baking, porridge soup, stewing, steam) are true. By programs: delayed start does not apply only to the TURBO program. Milk porridge does not run away anywhere. Four programs (Turbo, Normal, Frying and Heating) did not use I do not know their application, well, except for heating, what does my microwave do. In the soup-porridge program the minimum time is 1 hour. I cooked pea soup, borscht and pickle soup and buckwheat soup by the end of the program, everything was ready. On this program, the time can be added up to 4 hours. Extinguishing: 2 to 8 hours. Time is not added to baking there 50 minutes. Sorry about the pictures, while I'm a Kettle, I just can't download.
Gracie
Boba, thank you for the extensive and detailed answer!
And then I remembered what else I wanted to know)))
1. Is the inner cover removable?
2. Is the steamer like a basket or is it placed on the bottom of a saucepan?
3. Is there an option to select a mode in the FRYING program? (as in Dex: meat, fish, vegetables)

Gracie, I can give the answers to some of the questions, because today I bought Polaris 0506 (twin) for my brother. The lid is not removable, the steamer is like a basket, but I can’t say about the frying, because I examined it briefly. She doesn't look big, at least not bigger than Dex, even in my opinion below him. Very neat.
Gracie
Oh, what a pity that the lid is not removable! (((I really don't like this in Dex ...
Catwoman, did you like the saucepan? Looks serious? Is it possible to measure the overall dimensions (I am wondering if it will be possible to take the Yummkov saucepan to replace the native one)

Gracie, of all the cartoons I have, Dex has the best pot! I will be able to measure the size of the pan only tomorrow, because Polarisa has already given it. : girl_cleanglasses: What else can I say, the pan at the bottom is not rounded like in Dex, the last risk is 10 (cups of rice), unfortunately I don't have Yummi, so I can't even roughly imagine what kind of pan is there. It seems to me that the shape of the pan resembles Lakuchinovskaya - Marusya - Aurora (they seem to be all alike)
Catwoman
Gracie, there is a photo of Polaris 0506! Go there, take a look, suddenly you like it. In Dex, the saucepan is heavier, I immediately forgot to write.
Gracie
Well, in Dex the pan, in my opinion, is simply unkillable))) Unlike the plastic of the case
If a saucepan looks like Avrorkin, according to Yummkovskaya it should fit.
Now I'll take a look at Polaris.
I like this cartoon very much, I just want to be ready for the peculiarities.
elfree
I will try to add. Turbo and Normal modes are modes for cooking porridge, according to the principle of evaporation of liquid (for rice, buckwheat porridge, etc.), the porridge is crumbly, and the rice is grain to grain. the manufacturer recommends a 1: 1 ratio of cereal to water for rice. However, the amount of water may need to be increased. The frying mode is an analogue of the crispy rice mode in Perfezzax (or pilaf mode in Panasonicax) for a time from 1 hour to 2x. By default, 1.5 hours are set immediately. In the last 15-20min. working in this mode, intensive browning of food occurs. An interesting heating mode is 20min. Intense boiling is observed, which with a full pot of liquid can lead to it escaping through the valve. The pan is completely similar in size and is interchangeable with Auroras, Perfezza and Yummi.
Gracie
And fry, as I understand it, elfree , do you need to BAKE, without selecting a mode?
And apparently, HEATED this boiling.
Good news about pot interchangeability. At last! manufacturers have come up with the idea to standardize them.
elfree
I would try to fry in the Heat mode, it works for only 20 minutes, but it works very intensively.

Gracie, as promised, measured the pan for me: height 14.5 cm, diameter at the top 24 cm, bottom about 19 cm.I drove and measured a saucepan in small Lakuchin, the difference is only in height, in Lakuchin it is 13 cm, but it is 4 liters, and Polaris 5 liters.
I asked my relatives whom I bought as a gift, they stewed potatoes with meat in it yesterday, in general they really liked it. So that is all.
Boba
I have another question for you: does condensate in all MVs flow out when the lid is opened? If YES, then why the valve? By the way, I did the frying on the HEATING program, it is slower and not as intense as on the BAKERY ...And yesterday, on the Frying program, I cooked pilaf: in 1.5 hours, the bottom was burnt (now the saucepan is soaking) and the pilaf is not crumbly, but turned out like rice porridge with meat.

The friability of pilaf depends on the rice that you use and the amount of water, if you used unboiled, and simple round Kuban, then there will be no friable pilaf, well, the frying program for pilaf does not seem to work for me, try regular or soup on the program, if There is no pilaf or rice program, because I consider 1.5 hours a lot for rice, maximum an hour. Try these programs, if it takes an hour to cook in Panasika, even more so in yours.

let me disagree !!!
it definitely depends on the amount of water, but on the quality of rice -
it was with the advent of the multicooker that I stopped buying expensive rice varieties altogether. I take the most common and cheapest weight. sometimes long-grained, sometimes round-grained.
rice and pilaf are always crumbly.
my favorite combination of water and cereals is 1: 1. some people like it to be a little more smeared, then you need to take a little more water.

well, the FRYING program is really not suitable for cooking rice and pilaf. I already had punctures with a similar program in another cartoon.

you need a program that boils vigorously until all the liquid has evaporated. I just didn't find a list of programs that are in Saturn.

Quote: Boba

on the HEAT, frying will not work - the temperature is too low. ONLY ON BAKING!
Boba
I answer what programs there are: TURBO, REGULAR, FRYING, STEAM, HEATING, BAKING, STEWING, SOUP-porridge. I just can't figure out the programs: TURBO and NORMAL ... I cooked on NORMAL- sauce, the time is not set, the water evaporated, it turned out to be stewed potatoes (very tasty). The instructions say the time is 35 minutes, I thought that I would switch to maintaining the temperature myself, but it took more than 2 hours to cook, since I put everything on and went for a walk. I will learn by trial and error ... Here elfree writes about these programs: but I just don't understand: why two identical programs ??? !!! ...

Boba, it seems to me that the normal and turbo mode are just right for side dishes and pilaf, because they work before the liquid evaporates, the turbo works faster, and the sauce took longer than the program, because there was a lot of liquid than was needed for these programs. Try to cook the usual pilaf on the program, and then tell us together and we will study your multicooker. I will call my brother and suggest to cook pilaf on the same program, but in Polaris. I will also unsubscribe.
SupercoW
so, by analogy with the rest of the cartoons, I can assume ...

NORMAL - this is the "rice" program. it works on the principle of water evaporation - that is, there is a very strong boiling throughout the cycle. it is automatic.you cannot set time on it, the cartoon itself knows when to turn off - when there is no water left inside. in this mode, you need to cook all whole grain cereals, as well as pilaf.

TURBO - most likely, this is a mode for a small amount of cereal. i.e. analogue of the NORMAL mode. or you can cook buckwheat on it, since buckwheat does not need a long preparation. here, in theory, it is also impossible to set the time. this should also be an automatic program.

FRYING - I suspect that this is an analogue of the SHORT / CRISPY RICE / PLOV modes. specify what time can be set in this mode.
if I understood correctly, this mode is very hot. there is a very strong boil on it, and in the last 15-20 minutes, almost frying from the bottom begins.
many people like to cook meat on it, it turns out with a golden brown crust. I try not to use - keep the saucepan from burning.

PAR - well, everything is probably clear. the countdown should not start from the moment the mode is turned on, but from the moment the water boils.

HEATED - I personally heat up soups in this mode. I don't have a microwave and the stove has been closed for a long time, so if you need to heat something, then I warm it up in this mode. the regime is strong, brings to a boil.

BAKERY - I think everything is also clear here. hot mode, just for baking. can be adapted for frying vegetables and meat.

STEWING - in this mode, the multicooker should bring the contents to a boil, and then go to a barely noticeable boil (almost languor) and keep it for the necessary time.
in the last cartoons, they do at least 2 hours, which is not very convenient, but this is usually not a problem.
in this mode, roast, stew, jellied meat, all kinds of stewed meat and vegetables are successfully obtained.
my mother once cooked pilaf on the STEW (just mixed up the modes). it turned out very tasty, but too soft.

Porridge SOUP - this mode brings the contents to a boil and goes to a light boil. This mode is suitable for all soups and milk porridges.
milk porridge in a slow cooker is best made from whole grain cereals. all sorts of cuts and oatmeal should be done under supervision - they like to spit and run away.

that's all ...
there is nothing complicated here - all multicooker is made practically according to the same template. different names of modes, that's all.
you most importantly check my reasoning, I could still be mistaken. and also specify the time parameters for each mode (how long is the default and how much you can increase the cooking time), and also write on which programs you can set the timer, and on which not.
if not difficult of course.
and we will have a wonderful instruction for beginners.
elfree
I will repeat myself. The FRYING mode is adjustable from 1 to 2 hours, the default time is set automatically - 1.5 hours. It can be decreased or increased with the + or - keys. For the pilaf mentioned above, it was necessary to set the cooking time to 1 hour and control the last 20 minutes of cooking, since it is during the last 15-20 minutes that intensive frying occurs. If the result suits you, then turn off the Frying mode with the Cancel key and press the Maintain temperature key. Thus, bring the pilaf to readiness.
TURBO mode is an accelerated version of NORMAL mode.
Catwoman
On the "usual" program, pilaf is prepared very well! First, fry in frying, carrots, onions, meat, add rice, water and the "normal" program! Well, it's all brief.
Boba
On a regular one, you will need to constantly monitor so that the pilaf does not burn. As I understand it, the CF itself does not go into the temperature maintenance mode.

why do you think so ???

multicooker generally all switch to heating in all modes. otherwise it would not be safe.
I do not think that the manufacturers of Saturn were stupid in this regard.

rice-porridge modes (like your NORMAL) are generally very convenient modes - threw everything and forgot. everything boiled itself and turned off.

On our mulechka, Polaris 0506, pilaf cooked perfectly on this program. Nobody was keeping track of the time. It turned off itself as the program ended.
Boba
I haven't cooked like that myself, I will cook and write the result.

good evening
There is a Saturn ST-MC9180 Multicooker.
The instructions do not clearly describe the Turbo and Normal cooking modes. When you select these programs, it is impossible to change the time in the settings. Zeros are lit on the display and on + and - do not press, nothing else is displayed. I realized that this is a given time that does not change. That is how it should be?

THE "REGULAR" AND "TURBO" MODE ARE MOST OF ALL CALCULATED FOR BOOKING RICE, Plov and Buckwheat, AND ALL THESE PROGRAMS IN OTHER MULTIES ARE AUTOMATIC. "TURBO" ALL THIS IS FASTER FOR TIME ONLY. WHO STILL HAVE ANY OPINION?
SupercoW
latte, read my answer just above!

in these modes, the time is not set. they are automatic.
liorre
also acquired Saturn,
there is a taste in food, as I understand it from the non-stick coating
boiled 7 times, and still there is a smack, albeit less bright
did someone have it? what they were doing?
somehow I don't want to poison my family with metals (((((
elfree
Either you have too high gustatory sensitivity, or the wrong saucepan was hit, although it is known that it is the same as that of Yumi and Perfezz.
liorre
my sensitivity is really high ((((but it is also known that harmful impurities can be used in the non-stick coating. Has anyone else experienced taste deviations when cooking in a slow cooker? How quickly did it disappear? ..... or was it just me so lucky ((((

Today my employee for her daughter (there will be a present for NG) purchased a Saturn ST-MC9180.

I bragged about a fish https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=65027.0
She asked for a recipe, of course. I say - the recipe is very easy, but you can't cook without a cartoon.
In the store there was a 2.5 liter Panasonic for a long time. But to date, only Saturn ST-MC9180 has been on the showcase.
She brought a multicooker to work and asked for advice on it. In general terms, I told you what's what. Now I have a question for you, owners of the same multi or to similar - Polaris 0506: There is a steam program in the menu, but no steamer baskets are available. Tell me, did she come across an incomplete version, or is the basket (mesh) missing at all? What about steam then? What to do with this program? How to cook on it?
tigra-tigrica
Most likely they forgot to put it. Usually, either on legs or a basket. Not everyone has this accessory in pressure cookers, but it has always been in mv.
LLika
tigra-tigrica, they checked it in the store, turned it on, maybe they forgot to put it in the box? Tomorrow she is out, I'll call, let him go and find out

In the meantime, I'll wait for the answers here.

Maybe, but what does the instruction say about the bundle? Read post # 4. The steamer is included, which means you need to demand from the store.
LLika
Otozh, I held the instruction book in my hands, found the descriptions of the programs, explained what, where and when to press, but my head did not weld to see the complete set
Maybe tomorrow I'll run to the store myself, it's not far. And then I feel obligated, because on my initiative and "advertising" was bought
Boba
I have such a cartoon, in mine there is a basket-double boiler. I think your employee just forgot to put it in when they packed it.

hello, I have a multicooker Polaris 0506. They look like Saturn and look like 2 drops of water. Maybe the programs are similar. Today I made rice on the cooking program (normal). She took steamed rice. The rice is ready. It just turned out a little dry (all the water evaporated) and stuck a little to the saucepan. Maybe rice should be cooked on a different program? and on which program is it better to cook pilaf? Please share your experience.

Hello everyone! And I will come to you! Today I got my assistant! I've already baked a pie, I'm putting out potatoes with vegetables and meat! Everything is super. I love. While I'm sorting it out by typing, I think I'll get used to it quickly. All the same, I throw everything to the eye, the recipes are just for orientation.

Add more per 1 multi-glass of water.
Try other types of rice. I am making such a portion for Crimean rice varieties, 4 multi-glasses of rice for 5 multi-glasses of water, the cooking mode is "normal". Nothing burns and the rice is not dry or smeared. Multicooker Saturn.

Thanks for the answer, I have also come to this conclusion, though I have not tried it yet. I also have a Panasonic multicooker - 10, so I make rice in it. And in the big one she made stewed potatoes. Everything turned out great. Baking pizza is also good, but the time of 50 minutes is too much, the bottom is a little dry, but it can be from the dough. And baked charlotte for 50 minutes is enough. The process of mastering the multicooker is underway.

Good evening!
Yesterday I accidentally became the owner of this thing. At first there was confusion about what to do with her, but then she pulled herself together and made a delicious soup with meatballs. But there are a few questions, can someone tell me?
1. Do you have display backlight? The husband says that it seems to be, but I don't have
2. Can the clock be set?
3. How the delayed start function works.
There are no details in the instructions, there is no special information on the Internet either.

Hello! I bought myself this cartoon, can someone tell me where you can get the recipes for it, since these modes of turbo and normal bother me a little)) I want to cook pilaf and I don't know what to press)
lunvan
cooked rice for sushi on (normal) mode everything worked out well. One nuance of 400g of rice was cooked for 40-50 minutes!
Vikulya
Good evening! I have a question for you, did you cook pilaf in the "normal" mode, did the MV shut off itself as the water evaporated or should it be turned off manually? Does the rice stick to the pot? Thank you.
lunvan
I have not tried pilaf yet, but this is coming! But I cooked rice for sushi in this mode and saw that the timer worked for 40 minutes, and then the countdown began from 10 minutes, after which the mv switched to heating mode. I turned it off and took it out right away. The rice itself was not burnt and only slightly stuck to the bowl. In my opinion, this (normal) mode is not suitable for cooking rice for sushi, the grains have become very soft, but this is only for sushi!
lunvan
that's the moment for pilaf!)) everything turned out just great! I fried the meat on the frying mode for 30 minutes (now I think maybe it was not necessary) I put carrots, spices, raisins, 4 cups (mv) of rice and filled it with water (ordinary purified) set the mode (normal) and after 50 minutes I got out a delicious pilaf (loose rice)
mery
They also became owners of the Saturn multicooker. Now I have a question, does it turn off itself in the "Normal" and "Turbo" modes? I cooked the grill on "Normal", I had to turn it off manually after 38 minutes - all the water had already boiled away, and the multicooker was working ... I decided to check it on the "Turbo" mode, filled in 50 ml of buckwheat and 70 ml of water, turned on "Turbo", cooked 35 minutes, until I turned it off manually, the kruma was already dry ... Maybe I'm doing something wrong or carry it to the guarantee?
