Herring appetizer with nuts and prunes

Ingredients

Salted herring fillet 500 g
Bulbs 3 pcs.
Prunes 100 g
Raisins 30 g
Shelled walnuts ½ tbsp.
Rast. butter ¾ Art.

Cooking method

  • Soak the fillet in cold water for 1-2 hours. After that, drain the water and dry the fillets by removing the excess liquid with a napkin. Cut into slices.
  • Soak prunes and raisins in water in advance. Chop the onion into rings.
  • Chop prunes and nuts. I chopped nuts in a chopper.
  • Combine prunes, raisins, nuts and onions.
  • Put in layers herring and dried fruits with onions in a jar. The last should be a layer of dried fruit.
  • Cover with vegetable oil and refrigerate for 2 days.

Great gourmet appetizer. I warn you that the herring according to this recipe will not go with vodka.

A damn awesome snack. Prunes give off their herring and onion flavor. Onions from nuclear becomes tenderly sweet. Walnuts add spice.
