Apricot jam with blossom water

Ingredients

ripe apricots 1.800 gr.
sugar 250 gr.
flavored flower water or vanilla pod 6-7 st. l.
P.S. flavored flower water is sold ready-made. can be used from roses and orange fleur d'orange!

Cooking method

  • Cut the washed and dried apricots in half and remove the pit.
  • Place the apricots in a bowl in which the jam will be boiled and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Wait until the apricots let juice and put on fire. Bring to a boil, remove the foam (if boil with a vanilla pod, then add it)
  • Let it boil for 5-7 minutes (if you are cooking on gas, then use a divider so that it does not burn). Remove and set aside. Boil for 5-7 minutes twice a day over low heat for several days in a row.
  • It took me 4 days.
  • The jam is thick and very aromatic.
  • Before the last simmer, add flavored flower water or vanilla seeds from the pod that has been boiled with the apricots.
  • Spread hot in sterilized jars, roll up the lids.
