Donuts with cod caviar

Ingredients

canned cod caviar 120 g
Boiled potatoes 1 PC.
grated cheese 50 g
semolina 4 tbsp. l.
egg 1 PC.
sour cream 1 tbsp. l.
dill 1 tbsp. l.
flour 1 tbsp. l.
baking powder 1/2 tsp
salt taste
Sauce:
mayonnaise 50 g
lemon juice 1 tsp
adjika 1/2 tsp
pickled cucumber 1 PC.
vegetable oil for deep fat according to dishes

Cooking method

  • We bought a can "Natural cod caviar", it turned out to be tasteless. And here are the donuts I made from it.
  • On a fine grater I grated a large boiled potato and cheese, added an egg, semolina, sour cream, dill and half a can (240 g in a can) of caviar. She set aside semolina for a short time to swell, and then mixed in flour, baking powder and salt. The dough is slightly thinner than minced meat for cutlets. Form balls the size of meatballs with wet hands and deep-fry. After that, they will slightly increase and will be ~ 4-5 cm in diameter. For the sauce, cut the pickled cucumber into small cubes and mix it with mayonnaise, lemon juice and adjika. Thanks to the inedible caviar - the dish turned out to be very tasty!

The dish is designed for

But where did the caviar dissolve in your recipe? Or maybe these donuts should be performed without "inedible" caviar at all, and a good product should be given to cats?

I myself wonder what it tastes like. Maybe someday we have "tasteless" caviar

Sorry, I didn't quite understand your question. Are you wondering what the caviar influenced? Naturally tastes. By itself, it was tasteless, and gave the donuts a very pleasant fishy aroma. They can of course be prepared with any filler you want. With canned fish, for example. But I wrote how I managed to kill two birds with one stone - and dispose of caviar, and improve the taste of donuts.

Sorry one more time. But caviar is tasteless, in the opinion of cats and cats, does not happen. Yes, and I myself am better for caviar than for mayonnaise.

But this is my private opinion.

I would love to be with you Black_cat, agreed, if my two cats did not turn away from her. But, for the sake of interest - if you come across "Natural cod caviar", manufactured by LLC "More", Vladimir region, Sobinsky district, Lakinsk by order of LLC "Monolit", sterilized canned fish, net weight 240 g - please, buy such a jar, do not be lazy! It's inexpensive. I would be interested to know your opinion

How interesting it is! It is from this manufacturer that I buy sterilized cod caviar for my Muska .. And this shaggy miracle also loves pollock caviar, also sterilized.

Well, and I have everything that even indirectly has to do with fish - not to be confused with chips! pliiiz! - well, I really love it too.

Yes, there is also a mixture - caviar and liver of cod ... also edible for cats and people are not harmful.
But as for sturgeon or salmon caviar - they said in secret that such caviar does not exist in an ordinary store. Look. They said - if you want natural - take caviar of capelin, pollock, cod, herring.

P.S. I tend to take back stale groceries bought in a store.
