Category: First meal
Borscht (multicooker DEX-50)

Ingredients

Rack of pork ribs 300-400 g
Potatoes 3-4 pcs.
Beans 1 stk.
Onion 1 PC.
Carrot 1 PC.
Beet 1/2 pcs.
Cabbage taste
Garlic 1 clove
Fat 10x0.5 cm
Dried bitter pepper 1/4 pcs.
Dill taste
Salt taste
Pickled tomatoes or pickle taste
Tomato paste 2 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • I cooked my first borscht in a slow cooker.
  • I boiled the meat on the stove (I was afraid of foam in a slow cooker).
  • In a slow cooker on the Fry-Vegetables mode, I fried frying for 10 minutes - onions, carrots, beets.
  • Borscht (multicooker DEX-50)
  • Then I added tomato paste and poured hot water almost to the 2 mark and left it on the Fry for 15 minutes (I like it when the frying is still stewed, it's much tastier).
  • Borscht (multicooker DEX-50)
  • Then the water is boiled down and the frying is obtained, as it were, in a jelly.
  • Then I added the beans (pre-soak for 12 hours - I had the old one),
  • Borscht (multicooker DEX-50)
  • potatoes
  • Borscht (multicooker DEX-50)
  • and ribs,
  • Borscht (multicooker DEX-50)
  • poured broth up to mark 8.
  • Borscht (multicooker DEX-50)
  • And put on the program Extinguishing for 2 hours. Salt to taste.
  • Meanwhile, I chopped up the cabbage (to taste).
  • And in a mortar I rubbed a clove of garlic + lard (finely chopped) + dried pepper (you can with seeds) + dill.
  • Borscht (multicooker DEX-50)
  • For those who like borscht with sourness (it's me) I added pickled tomatoes (peel off and mash with a fork), you can also add 100 g (or to taste) of pickle from under the tomato (if someone has pickled tomatoes in a barrel, they even tastier).
  • The cooking time depended on the readiness of the beans (if you boil them first, then 1 hour would be enough for stewing). When the beans were almost cooked (about 1.5 hours on stewing), I added cabbage, garlic dressing and tomatoes. And another 0.5 hour was extinguished. The cabbage turned out not boiled, what you need.
  • Everyone, taste it for salt.
  • The borscht turned out to be rich, hearty, with a light taste of garlic. From the category of eating a plate and full.
  • Borscht (multicooker DEX-50)
  • Bon Appetit!

Yes, it turns out very satisfying. You can even do without meat.

: hi: I often replace potatoes with beans.

By the way, it's also delicious for borscht - take a crust of crispy bread, grease (rub) it with lard, and then grate it with a clove of garlic and salt on top! Om-Nom-nom

Girls, I want to share my observations: when I cooked borsch with store-bought tomato paste, the lid was heavily soiled, and when with homemade tomato juice, the lid was cleaner. So there is reason to think about what is added to store-bought tomato paste ...
Cook with homemade tomato juice!
