Loaf "Sunflower"

Ingredients

flour 4 cups (640g)
dry yeast 7 g
milk 1.5 cups
honey 0.25 cups
rast. oil 1 tbsp. l.
eggs 2 pcs.
salt 1 tsp
sunflower seeds 0.5 cups

Cooking method

  • Glass - 250 ml
  • 1. Sift 2 cups flour into a large bowl and add yeast. Mix milk with honey and vegetable oil. Warm the mixture slightly and. stirring constantly, pour into a bowl of flour.
  • 2. Separate the yolk from the white of one egg. Add yolk and salt to the dough. Place the dough on a floured surface and knead, gradually adding the remaining flour, for at least 10 minutes. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover and leave in a warm place for 2 hours. Add the sunflower seeds to the dough and knead again.
  • 3. Divide the dough into 4 pieces. Cover three parts with a slightly damp kitchen towel and set aside. Roll the rest of the dough into a very thin layer on a floured surface. Brush it with a little lightly beaten protein.
  • 4. Roll up the layer into a tight tube.
  • 5. Cut the tube into triangles.

  • Do the same for two more parts of the test. Divide the remaining part into 6 - 8 parts and roll them into balls the size of a small walnut.
  • 6. Grease a large round baking dish. Place dough balls in the center, then lay out the resulting triangles in a circle, leaving 2 - 3 mm gaps between them. Leave on for 30 minutes. Grease the loaf with the remaining beaten egg and place in an oven preheated to 190 ° C for 45 - 50 minutes. Leave to cool on a wire rack. Serve warm.
  • My comment.: I was kneading the dough in a bread maker. In the center of the loaf, poppy seeds were poured onto round buns, brown sugar was placed on the petals.
  • I had no seeds, but there were nuts ground into flour. I mixed them with sugar and used them to fill the rolls.
