Ingredients

milk 1 liter
yeast 100 g
flour 2.5KG
salt 2.5 tsp
sour cream 1 glass
odorless vegetable oil 40 gr.
eggs 15 pieces
sugar 4 glasses (glass - 250ml)
vanilla sugar 1 sachet
butter 600 gr.
candied fruit 200 gr.
raisins 200 gr.

Cooking method

  • This recipe has been in our family for as long as I can remember. And my mother baked according to this recipe, and I have been baking in the same way for many years. The recipe is so good that I never even tried something different.
  • From this amount, a lot of Easter cakes are obtained (I distribute to friends), so you can reduce it proportionally.

  • Prepare a dough from 1 liter of milk, 100 g of yeast and flour to a consistency like thick pancakes. Leave on for about 4 hours until the volume doubles.
  • Then add salt, sour cream, vegetable oil to the dough.

  • Take eggs, separate whites from yolks. Beat whites until peaks. Add all the sugar and vanilla sugar to the yolks. Grind it white. Add yolks to the dough and knead, adding flour. At the end of the batch, add the whipped egg whites. Then add 600 g of soft butter, candied fruit and raisins to the dough. Put the dough in a warm place for 2-2.5 hours until the volume doubles.

  • Cut baking paper to shape, brush with melted butter on both sides and sprinkle with flour. Place the dough in the molds until 1/3 full. When the dough doubles in volume, bake.

  • Glaze:
  • sugar - 200 g
  • egg whites - 1 pc.
  • lemon juice 1 lemon

  • Grind white, grease ready-made cakes.

  • Secret: so that the raisins are evenly distributed in the dough, mix it with flour, then just add to the dough.
