Ingredients

Flour 300 g
Sugar 125 g
Soda 1 tsp
Butter 200-250 g
Nuts 125 g
Baking spices 2.5 tsp
Milk 80 g
Jam 100-150 g
Lubricant egg 1 PC.

Cooking method

  • Mix flour with soda and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom) and knead the dough by hand or using a mixer, gradually adding softened butter, sugar, chopped nuts, milk.
  • Leave the dough in the refrigerator for 2 hours or until. when there will be more time.
  • Place 2/3 of the dough on a greased baking sheet or in a springform pan. Spread a thin layer of jam or marmalade. From the remaining dough, make a slanting cage on top of the pie. Grease the cage with an egg.
  • It is best to take walnuts for the dough, after roasting them in the oven, but you can also take almonds or hazelnuts.
  • Preferably slightly sour jam: currant, lingonberry, strawberry.

Delicious cake for tea. Not just a pig's delight and manna from heaven, but a very tasty and solid homemade pie.

A special note in the dough is given by nuts, of which I swelled 160g (as much as I sprinkled, I left so much). Without them it would not be interesting (I have hazelnuts). I baked it and the guests arrived (as they smelled). They ate everything, so there is no photo of the cut. I had strawberry heat-resistant marmalade (so special for pies).

Most baked the cake in pretty shapes. which, of course, is very pleasant from an aesthetic point of view. But, when I did not have a form, I simply baked it on a baking sheet, adding a little flour to the dough. It blurred a little when baked, but again remained tasty, slightly drier.
