Salted garlic pretzels

Ingredients

Flour 1 glass
Water 1/4 cup
Salt 1/4 ~ 2/3 tsp
Sugar 2/3 tsp
Rast. oil 2 tbsp. l.
Dry yeast
or fresh yeast
2 g
6 g
Garlic 2 cloves
Coarse crystalline salt
if desired
1 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • Put yeast and sugar in warm water. Wait until foam begins to form.
  • Pour vegetable oil into yeast water, put garlic squeezed through a press and add salt (if the pretzels are salted on top, then add 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the dough, otherwise add 2/3 teaspoons of salt).
  • Add flour and knead the dough.
  • Cut the dough into pieces the size of a walnut - you should get 22 ~ 24 pieces.
  • Roll a flagellum no more than the thickness of a pencil and a length of 25 to 30 cm from each piece.
  • Roll the pretzels.
  • Transfer them to a greased baking sheet.
  • Brush with water or a scrambled egg on top.
  • Sprinkle with large crystals of salt if desired.
  • Put in an oven preheated to t = 220 ° C.
  • Bake 12 ~ 15 minutes until lightly browned for soft dough texture, or 20 minutes until brown on top for crispy dough.
