Ingredients

Bell pepper 2 pcs
Tomatoes 3 pcs
Carrot 1 PC
Bulb 1 PC
Tomato juice 750 ml
Vegetable oil 3 tbsp
Lemon juice (or citric acid on the tip of a knife) 2 tbsp
Granulated sugar 2 h l
Salt, black pepper taste

Cooking method

  • Cut the pepper into any slices so that it is convenient to pick it up on a spoon.
  • Carrots - in small pieces, about 1.5 cm.
  • Chop the onion in half rings.
  • Remove the skin from the tomato by cutting it crosswise and placing it in boiling water for a couple of minutes. Cut into slices, like for a salad.
  • We put all the vegetables in a saucepan, fill in with tomato juice, add vegetable oil, salt (we carefully monitor so as not to oversalt, because tomato juice may already be with salt, so we try!), Black pepper, lemon juice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium, and cook with the lid open for about an hour (or until the carrots are ready), stirring occasionally.
  • You can eat as soon as it cools, but it is better to let it brew in a cold place for a while, for example, overnight.
  • A very tasty appetizer for any hot dishes, and it is useful for a lean table: with boiled potatoes, rice.

She stewed until the pepper softened with the result and the cooking process was halved.
