Pepper "With a surprise"

Pepper with a surprise

Ingredients

FOR MARINADE
water 1 l
salt 1.5 tbsp. l.
sugar 1 cup (200 ml)
vinegar 9% 0.5 cups
refined sunflower oil 1 glass
Bulgarian pepper multicolored, medium-sized tomatoes required quantity
garlic, herbs, hot peppers and mustard seeds (optional).

Cooking method

  • Marinade for one 3-liter jar.
  • Bring 1 liter of water to a boil and add 1.5 tbsp. l. salt, 1 tbsp. sugar, 0.5 tbsp. 9% vinegar, 1 tbsp. refined sunflower oil.

  • Cut off the lid of the peppers, peel, wash and lower them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes so that the pepper becomes soft and does not break when placed in jars.
  • Put 1-2 cloves of peeled garlic and a tomato in each pepper.
  • Put pepper with a "surprise" in cleanly washed jars as tightly as possible, shifting with sprigs of herbs. If there is not enough space, then I put small tomatoes. Pour in hot marinade and sterilize for 30 minutes. Close the lids immediately.
  • I usually also wrap the blanket around to prolong sterilization.

  • My advice: first, I pour the oil from the marinade into the jars with a ladle so that there is about the same amount everywhere. And then I pour the marinade equally. If it’s just not enough, then add boiled water.
  • Here I have three 1.5 liter jars closed.

Note

This pepper has an unusually tasty marinade and the pepper itself, and the "surprise" in it too.

Thanks for the recipe, very interesting. I want to try to close it, otherwise there are a lot of peppers and tomatoes this year, but all the old recipes are already tired. The photo shows very beautiful jars. I have one question, but how to sterilize filled jars, put them in water and the water should boil? And if you sterilize for 30 minutes, then they should boil for 30 minutes? Tell me please.
Elenka
Kelly, in general, you think correctly.
Place the filled cans in cold water so that the water reaches just above the shoulders of the can. Bring the water in a saucepan to a boil and reduce the heat so that the water gushes without splashing. And from this moment you start the countdown - 30 minutes. Be careful that the boil does not subside.
Then follow the instructions.
Good luck!
Kelly
Thank you so much!!!! I will close. The pepper looks very nice, I think it's also delicious.
Elenka
This pepper is not only beautiful, but also delicious! His marinade is delicious.
Kelly
Well, I want to say ... Thank you very much for this recipe. This is delicious!!!! I am writing only now, because recently they just opened a jar to try it, and ..... everything went away. I closed at 850 gr. cans, eaten at a time !!! Moreover, all the brine is drunk (it is very tasty) !! It’s also good, I had a good harvest of pepper and tomatoes that summer, and it’s especially delicious when the pepper is so fleshy, thick-walled. It's a pity, I saw your recipe late, so I covered the rest of the vegetables, covered a little. On the trail. year this is the undoubted favorite of my blanks. Thank you again. Happy New Year! All the best to you and your loved ones.
Elenka
KellyThank you very much for your kind words! So nice! It's so great that you and your family loved my recipe! Enjoy your meal and cook!

I want to make such a pepper, but I don't want to mess around with sterilization. So I think, I can just do a double fill and under a fur coat or sterilize in Shteba. If in Shteba, then the cans are only 0.7 liters, but in another way you can also 1.5 liters.
Elenka
Florichka,
It is unlikely to survive without sterilization, especially a double fill. The result will be unpredictable. Sorry for the products and labor.
The pepper is tasty and effective, it's worth tinkering.

What an interesting idea, I want to close such a pepper this weekend! It's good that a new comment has appeared in this thread!
I would like to clarify with the author - is the sterilization time indicated for 1.5 liter cans or for 3 liter cans? Both options are mentioned in the recipe, can sterilization be reduced for 1.5 liters?
Elenka
nodameOlga, I did just that, I sterilized 15 minutes from boiling water in a saucepan, I also threw 2-3 minutes of control, so to speak.
Florichka
Then I will make 3 cans of 0.7 liters each and sterilize in Shteba, like salads.
nodame
Elenka, Thanks, I will!
Valyushka
Elenka, Elena, I made takin peppers many times, but without tomatoes. Stuffed with garlic cloves and parsley sprigs.
Elenka
I also did it without a tomato. But this is already another recipe - another song.
Tomatoes are tastier, and the tomatoes are very tasty.
Valyushka
Elenka, Elena, bookmarked your recipe. In the summer I will do ...
Elenka
Valyushka, I hope you like it. I'll wait for a review .... when you try it.
kavmins
a very original recipe, I have never met this, I will certainly try, but somehow I’m afraid to lay whole tomatoes, I’d better cut them into slices
Elenka
kavmins, no need to cut. 30 minutes of sterilization is sufficient. They have never deteriorated, they have not torn off the covers either from me or from friends.
Do everything according to the recipe and it will be fine. The marinade turns out delicious.
nodame
Taki made this blank, but only this year! Tomatoes in pepper look very nice, just like toys. They haven't opened it yet, but the marinade is really tasty, I used the remains to preserve the tomato, otherwise it was a pity to pour it out.
Thanks again for the original recipe!
Elenka
nodame, Olga, good health! I hope you enjoy the taste of the blank.
Thanks for your feedback!
nodame
The taste of the preparation made us very happy! I opened the jar as a New Year's surprise
on the festive table and peppers with tomatoes inside went just with a bang! I was asked to open more
one jar for the arrival of relatives! So next year I will do more, the sample was recognized
positive!
Elenka
nodame, Olga, it's great that the pepper was a success!
I am pleased to.
