Rice with cabbage and carrots (DEX DMC-50)

Ingredients

Rice 0.5 tbsp.
Carrot 1-2 pcs.
Cabbage 0.5 kg.
Vegetable oil (ideally fat after frying the duck) 2-3 st. l.
Salt taste

Cooking method

  • Pour oil into the multicooker saucepan and turn on the Stew program for 1.5 hours. Add washed rice to the butter. While the cartoon is warming up, quickly peel and three carrots and throw it there, mix. Simmer for 10 minutes carrots with rice (you can add 1 tbsp. L. Water). Pour in 1 tbsp. water and wait until it boils (you can immediately pour boiling water). At this time, shred the cabbage. Add the cabbage to the multicooker, close the lid and simmer until tender, stirring occasionally (not often). Salt 10 minutes before cooking. All. The dish can be cooked earlier than after 1.5 hours, depending on the cabbage, you need to watch.

The dish is designed for

3-4 servings

Time for preparing:

1,5 hour

Cooking program:

Extinguishing

Note

* This is a delicious side dish of the simplest foods. Its whole secret is in simplicity. I do not advise adding onions and any spices here, because this will be a completely different dish.

* If you noticed pieces of minced meat in the plate in my photo - it seemed to you! Imagine that he is not there. (In fact, there was nowhere to attach a couple of spoons of minced meat. According to the recipe, minced meat is not necessary!)

* Regarding fat - if you have fried duck and you have fat left after this business - cook this side dish on it - it's even tastier.

I often stew cabbage like that, but not in a multicooker, but in a regular patch, always leave at a time, especially if the fast

Cook, To your health!

vera100865, I also always did it in an ordinary cauldron on the stove. But with the advent of the multicooker, I somehow don't want to mess with the stove now. So now I'm preparing this side dish (like all the others) in the cartoon.

I have not yet grown to a multicooker, Santa Claus gave me HP on NG, (as soon as my friends did not dissuade me), so I'm just learning.
Is multa really convenient?

Very comfortably. So master HP, and start looking closely at MB-kams.

I tried to make rice according to this recipe, after 6 minutes of stewing (while the rice and carrots were stewing), the cartoon squeaked and went into heating mode. Maybe because I extinguished with the lid closed, but it was necessary with the open one, the recipe does not say anything about this, and it overheated. What to do in this case, does the cartoon switch back to the extinguishing / simmering mode when it cools down or you need to fix everything manually. Forum veterans, tell me!

There are capricious multicooker like mine, which are on the Extinguishing, if they don't have enough liquid for this extinguishing, they turn off the program. You need to extinguish with the lid closed. Try to fry carrots with rice on a fry, only for a short time, if that. What kind of multicooker do you have?

And, well, so it is. Can be switched off on Extinguishing without liquid. In this case, try not to really close the lid until you put the cabbage, the sensor is there, in theory, in the lid, it may not work. Or on the Fry, just quickly so as not to overcook the rice.

ok, thanks, I'll try next. time, this time I just let it cool down a little and cooked it up with the lid open, and then according to the recipe, I wait half an hour for the result.

Everything is correct. Only this is not overheating, these are whims.

Oksana, thank you very much for the recipe for this side dish. I did it strictly according to the recipe, although it was tempting to add tomato paste, onion, spices ... But it really would be a completely different dish. It turned out very tender and tasty. With turkey cutlets, the side dish went off with a bang)). I will definitely repeat.

I cooked in DEX-60, the cooking time was 15 minutes less.
