Stern
Salad "Herring in a fox fur coat"

350 gr herring fillet without skin and bones

300 g sour cream (50 g sour cream can be replaced with soft cottage cheese from a tube)
1 pickled cucumber
1 small apple
1 onion
some dry or fresh dill
sugar, salt, white pepper to taste

If the herring is very salty, soak it in milk or tea.
Prepare the sauce. Cut the cucumber into thin rings (do not peel), the peeled apple into thin strips, chop the onion thinly, depending on the shape of the onion, into rings, half rings or quarter rings. Will add sour cream and mix well. Add dill, season to taste, stir.
Dry the herring thoroughly with paper towels, cut into slices about 1.5 cm wide, put in the sauce, mix well and refrigerate (preferably overnight). Top with finely chopped green onions or fresh dill.
Delicious! With boiled potatoes, just a savor!
