If you ask any German what kind of meat he prefers, the answer will be one: "Minced meat!" Why it happened, I don't know, but the Germans adore cutlets (Buletten) made from minced meat and eat them with or without reason. Try it and you are delicious! German buletten differs from our cutlets in that they are cooked without garlic, always with yesterday's bun and finely chopped (in no way not passed through a meat grinder!) Onion.
I'm sure your men will love it!

Berlin cutlets

500 gr mixed (50:50 beef and pork) minced meat (mince the meat through a meat grinder with a large wire rack)
1 large onion
1 egg
1 dry bun (weight about 50g)
1 teaspoon mustard, prepared (medium hot)
salt, pepper to taste

Soak the bun in water or milk (I mix milk and water), cut the onion into cubes as small as possible.
Squeeze the bun and add to the minced meat together with the crust (!). Add onion, egg, mustard, season with salt and pepper (you can add just a little (!) Spices). Mix the minced meat well with your hands, form 4-6 balls (the Germans roll 4), flatten them slightly and fry the cutlets in hot vegetable oil with the addition of margarine. When the underside is browned, turn the cutlets, reduce heat and fry until tender, covered.
It turns out juicy and tasty!

Dear Stеrn !!!!! Thank you so much for the "Berlin cutlets" !!!!! , for some reason undeservedly ignored. I sincerely recommend it to everyone - try it, you won't regret it. The large amount of finely chopped onions makes them incredibly juicy, and the mustard adds a delicious piquancy.
Stеrn, you are just a genius! All praises to you have already sung, I just join them.
I fried them several times, just not in vegetable oil and margarine (forgive me Berliners, they don’t buy margarine in our family), but in chicken fat or ghee. And so and so very good. delicious!!!
Thanks for the recipe!
P.S. Before meeting you, I was sure that I cook deliciously ... And now ... I'm not even a first grader ...

Delicious cutlets! I fried them without fat at all, after turning over, splashed a tablespoon of water (old german cunning!). I will certainly cook more often, because they are not only tasty, but also very fast. Stеrn, thank you very much!

It turns out that the zest of these cutlets is in finely chopped onion + mustard ??? Tomorrow morning I'll cook it, or maybe today (it's not evening yet). Thanks for the recipe.
