Alfahores cookies

Ingredients

Wheat flour 100 g
Sugar 80 g
Butter 80 g
Egg 1 PC.
Chicken yolks 2 pcs.
Starch
(better corn,
but potato will do too)
200 g
Baking powder for the dough 5 g
(1/2 pack.)
Boiled condensed milk 1 can
Coconut flakes, confectionery sprinkles,
crushed nuts, etc. of your choice

Cooking method

Some time before starting all the manipulations, remove the oil from the refrigerator so that it has time to become softer.
Using a mixer, beat the eggs and sugar well and add the butter, whisking until you get a thick, homogeneous mass.
Combine the starch, flour and baking powder in a bowl and add the beaten eggs and butter.
Stir, knead the dough until smooth, and refrigerate for an hour.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 cm, and use a glass to cut out the round cookies, which should be transferred to a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
Bake cookies for 20 minutes at 180 degrees, let cool slightly and start assembling. To do this, generously grease the cookie with condensed milk, cover it with a second cookie, slightly smear the edges with the same condensed milk, and roll it in coconut flakes or sprinkle of your choice.


From this amount I got 10 pieces of fairly large cookies. The dusting was of two types - crushed walnuts and coconut flakes.

The recipe for this cookie was copied from somewhere long ago. From where - I do not remember, unfortunately, because I would like to thank the author for a simple and tasty recipe.
I did everything strictly according to the recipe.

ALFAHORES - Argentinean cookies.

Dough:
2.5 st. flour, (380 gr.)
1 and 1 / 3st. starch,
2h l baking powder (1 sachet - 10 gr)
200g, melted margarine (butter),
3/4 st. Sahara,
vanillin (1 bag of vanilla sugar)
3 egg yolks,
3-4 tbsp. l rum or cognac, optional (cognac)

Besides:
1 can of boiled condensed milk (cooked for 2 hours)
1 stack. peanuts, any other nuts can be (walnuts)
1 stack. coconut flakes
powdered sugar.

Grind margarine with sugar, add vanillin, yolks and alcohol. Gradually add the starch, flour and baking powder. You should get a soft dough that does not stick to your hands.
Roll out a part of the dough ~ 4 mm thick (keep the rest covered). Cut out circles, diameter from 4.5 to 8cm. Bake on a baking sheet covered with parchment for 20-25 minutes at 160 * C. The cookies will hardly change color, they will become slightly creamy. Cool and sprinkle with icing sugar.
Next: we spread one cookie with a not very thick layer of condensed milk and glue it to the other. We also coat the sides with condensed milk and roll them like a wheel over nuts or coconut. Put on a dish and sprinkle with powdered sugar again.

Push:
- some of the cookies were rolled in walnut crumbs, some in walnuts with sides and coconut flakes on top, and some in coconut flakes. These are the assorted items.
