Another difficulty for beginners is associated with the fact that even after the full completion of the training course at a driving school, many drivers do not really know how to use the clutch. Typical situations are a sharp throwing of the pedal, continuous coasting with the clutch depressed, its incomplete engagement when changing gears, and disengagement too. All this inevitably leads to its failure. What's more, many newbies also lack pedal feel, causing them to shift upshifts too early. Consequently - the car loses its dynamics and throttle response.
Further down the list is the start of braking too late or unjustifiably earlier. The first case is fraught with the emergence of an emergency situation on the road, and the second - the creation of obstacles to other road users. It is not uncommon for newcomers to drive to get lost in an environment that requires an immediate decision. How many times have inexperienced drivers confused the control pedals, made erroneous maneuvers, turned on direction indicators that contradicted the situation, or chose the wrong speed in a stressful situation? Unfortunately, there can be no universal recommendations here, since such skills come exclusively with experience. The only advice that can be useful to novice drivers is to drive exclusively at a speed that allows you to control the traffic situation and have the time margin necessary for thinking and making decisions.
Certain difficulties for novice drivers are the execution of the left turn. Especially if you have to cross tram lines. It is quite difficult for a beginner in such a situation to choose the right moment to perform the maneuver. Moreover, if this maneuver is performed on a multi-lane road. In such a situation, it is recommended to take a safer route, even if in this case you have to drive a little further. After all, the ability to overcome difficult intersections comes with experience, but this does not mean at all that you need to acquire this very experience by rashly rushing into turns during rush hour.
In general, novice drivers have many difficulties with intersections. Many do not know how to behave correctly when driving through unregulated intersections. You can often observe how an inexperienced driver misses everyone who is nearby, even having an advantage over other cars on the road. But this creates inconvenience not only for the beginner himself, but also for other drivers, since they cannot immediately understand why they are given way. At the crossroads of equivalent roads, novice drivers often forget about the rule of "interference from the right", which can even provoke an emergency.
In conclusion, of course, one cannot fail to mention the inability of many novice drivers to use the steering wheel.Some people do not properly keep their hands on the steering wheel, someone generally disdainfully controls it with one hand, and someone keeps their hands at the bottom of the steering wheel, which greatly complicates steering due to constant steering wheel interceptions. Therefore, you should always keep your hands exclusively in the upper sector of the steering wheel. That is, if the steering wheel is presented in the form of the most ordinary dial, then the left hand should be located approximately at the level of the number 10, and the right hand - the number 2.
