- liquid crystal (LCD)
The most common type of modern TVs, which have the following advantages: high quality picture, lightness and compactness, low power consumption, and long service life. The disadvantages of these devices include: the appearance on the screen of luminous single dots (pixel burnout), as well as a change in contrast and brightness depending on the angle at which the image is viewed.
- plasma
They are mainly used as a home theater, as they have a wide color range, good contrast, a flat screen, a significant viewing angle, and a complete absence of flicker in the picture. The main disadvantages are high cost and significant energy consumption, as well as slight inaccuracy in color reproduction.
Which TV to choose - LCD or Plasma? In the event that the TV is chosen for a small room, then it is best to choose an LCD device, since even with a small screen size, it retains the clarity of the image. Plasma, on the other hand, is better suited for home theater, demonstrating all its amazing capabilities on the big screen.
When choosing a TV, you should definitely pay attention to its technical characteristics, namely: viewing angle, contrast, brightness, sound, connection options.
The manufacturer is also important. It is necessary to look at the options for the image in artificial and natural light, in the dark and in the case when sunlight hits the screen. If you intend to install the TV in a place where there is good lighting, then it is best to choose a model that has high brightness values. It is very convenient if your TV has automatic contrast and brightness adjustment.
If you plan to connect various devices to the TV, then you need to make sure that the design provides the required number of connectors. Sound quality is also very important, and the speaker power should be at least 10 watts.
