Cuisine and the Golden Triangle Rule

Mcooker: best recipes About kitchen and food

Cuisine and the rule of the golden triangleKITCHEN (from German Kuche - kitchen) is a room for cooking (the old name is a cook).
The kitchen is the comfort of a home, it is rightfully considered the heart of every house or apartment. This is where we prepare food. Regardless of where we live, in a private house or apartment, the kitchen is one of the most important places where all relatives gather from time to time to eat or just chat over a cup of coffee. Guests are often received here, sharing news, emotional experiences and impressions at a joint meal.

The kitchen is one of the most important rooms in the house, where we spend a lot of time, so everything in the kitchen should be convenient and rational.

Cuisine and the rule of the golden triangleSo, how to equip the kitchen space of the kitchen, how to arrange the furniture so that it is convenient for the owner of the kitchen in cooking, and for those who are going to the kitchen for lunch, snacks and simply gatherings in the kitchen?
The time that we spend in the kitchen will not seem like an eternity if we think about such science as ergonomics. In the 1920s, a study was carried out in Germany where a certain dish was prepared by a housewife in an equipped kitchen. At the same time, the distance traveled and the time spent were measured. In the end, a certain arrangement of the situation was created, in which the subject could carry out a sequence of preparation of dishes in the shortest possible time, while making the minimum path.

This test went down in the history of modern kitchen as a thread study, as control persons measured the subject's path on a drawing to scale with threads. With modern rechecking, the results remain just as discouraging - with intelligent kitchen planning, a housewife can save up to 60% of the way and 27% of the time.

As a result of the filament study, three main work centers were identified for preparation, cooking and washing. Correct placement of these elements is critical to working ergonomics.

It is believed that the most commonly used objects in the kitchen, such as the refrigerator, stove and sink, should be arranged in a triangle.
The sink is the main hub of activity, taking up 40 to 46% of the time spent in the kitchen. Ideally, it is located in the center of the working triangle, approximately 1200-1800 mm from the stove and 1200-2100 mm from the refrigerator.
The stove is placed closer to the dining table. However, it should be remembered that it is in this place that various injuries most often occur. The stove must be positioned so that it cannot be accidentally hit when passing through the kitchen.
Refrigerators and freezers placed in the corners of the kitchen so as not to tear the work surface into separate small areas.

There are four main types of kitchen layouts: U-shaped, L-shaped, double row and single row... In each of these types of layouts, the lines connecting the three centers of activity - the refrigerator, the sink, and the stove - make up the so-called working triangle.

In a correctly selected triangle, the distances between its vertices are reduced to a minimum, which makes it possible for the hostess to approach all the necessary objects, and does not hinder movement. It is necessary to avoid such a layout, which hinders movement within the triangle.

Corner kitchens make it easy to access each of these elements, making layouts comfortable, functional and practical. The design of the corner kitchen opens up quite broad prospects for the installation of furniture and household appliances (built-in and conventional). The corner kitchen is made mainly according to the "golden triangle" rule.

U-shaped
Kitchen tools and furniture arranged along three walls provide access to the three centers and do not interfere with movement in the kitchen. The back wall should be between 2400 and 4000 mm long and the free space between 1200 and 2800 mm. With a more compressed size, the kitchen has nowhere to turn around, and with a looser arrangement between centers of activity, too many steps are taken.

Cuisine and the rule of the golden triangleL-shaped
This layout is most suitable for a small square kitchen; in a large kitchen, it provides an isolated working triangle and leaves room for a dining room. The main disadvantage of the L-shaped layout is the large distance between the two work centers. With this layout, the sink is in the middle, between refrigerator and a stove.

Double row
In this type of layout, which is often found in the kitchen when it is used as a walk-through room, kitchen appliances and furniture are placed along two parallel walls. Due to the fact that the sides of the working triangle are constantly interrupted by movement in the kitchen, try to place the stove and sink - the most active centers - along one wall.

Single row
The total length of the working surface with such a layout should not exceed 3660 mm, otherwise the distance between the working centers becomes too large. Place the refrigerator at one end of the row, the stove at the other, and the sink in between. A significant part of the work surface should be between the sink and the stove.

Which kitchen to choose is up to you, but try to choose the interior of the kitchen and arrange furniture and household appliances in it so that you feel comfortable in the kitchen!
