Mcooker: best recipes About kitchen and food

Choosing a kitchen sinkThe sink is one of the most important elements of any kitchen, because it is around it that most of the kitchen work is done. Therefore, it must be comfortable and meet all the necessary requirements. But how do you choose the most suitable sink model for your kitchen?

The main criteria for choosing a kitchen sink

1. Form. First of all, you need to decide what shape the sink will be.

• Square shape. Sinks of this shape are the most common. They are convenient for washing dishes and are spacious enough.

• Rectangular sinks are comfortable to use, perfect for narrow countertops.

• Round sinks are also quite comfortable and spacious, and they are much easier to clean as they do not have corners.

Sometimes you can see on sale sinks of an unusual polygonal shape. This is the most modern model with side wings, which give the product a non-standard shape. This sink option is only suitable for spacious kitchens.

2. Material. The most common sinks on sale are made of stainless steel, ceramics or artificial stone.

Choosing a kitchen sinkSteel models are in greatest demand among the population. They have a fairly low cost, perfectly match the interior of any kitchen and have good corrosion resistance. There are stainless steel sinks with a matte and glossy surface. It is better to give preference to a matte surface, as it is less prone to scratches, but the price of such a model will be higher.

The ceramic sink has a porcelain or earthenware base with an enamel finish. Such models look very impressive, they are not "afraid" of high temperatures, scratches and the effects of household products. But they are heavy and expensive.

Sinks made of artificial stone are very easy to maintain, look stylish, and are resistant to damage and impact. But it should be noted that their price is higher.

3. Number of bowls. In shops you can find kitchen sinks, consisting of one or more bowls. The most common sinks are single-bowl, they are the simplest, cheapest and easiest to clean. But sinks from several bowls (usually there are from 2 to 4) are more functional. In such a sink, you can simultaneously wash dishes, defrost meat, peel vegetables, etc.

4. Method of installation. Products differ in the way they are installed. On sale there are overhead and mortise models of kitchen sinks. Surface-mounted sinks are mounted on top of the surface of the kitchen cabinet. This option fits best with headsets consisting of separate modules. Mortise sinks are most often inserted into a specially designed hole in the worktop. This model can be installed both at the same level with the worktop, and under or above it, depending on individual preferences. Mortise sinks will be the best option if the kitchen has one common table top.

5. Accessories. When purchasing a new kitchen sink, you can immediately pay attention to additional accessories for it. These can be: a special module for filtering water, dryers and baskets for dishes, grates, an additional tap, as well as a device that chops food waste.

Focusing on these basic characteristics of kitchen sinks, it will not be difficult to decide on the best model for your kitchen.
