Galaxy GL2802I have already bought myself a third electronic scale, I live in two houses, each one needs accurate scales. And in the village, electronic scales have a limit of 3 kg and turn off when they want, no more than 30 seconds after leaving alone, that is, if I walked away, I came back to the scales that had already turned off. When you need to add something, it's not very convenient. And I decided to buy, I was looking for scales with the ability to weigh at least 5 kg, but at the same time not very expensive.

The scales arrived in a solid small box, measuring 21.5x15.5x6 cm, with inscriptions in Russian and English

The scales themselves were disassembled, separately packed in a plastic bag and a "mold" made of sweaty cardboard, the body of the scales lay and in the adjacent cardboard "cell" packed in its own bag was a glass platform for the person being weighed.

The platform is then screwed onto a “pin” with a thread in the middle of the scale body.
The scales are small, measuring 15x20x4.6 cm, light - weighing 360g.
Made in China
The scales are accompanied by instructions for 10 pages

The scales are powered by a 1X3V CR2032 battery inserted from the bottom surface of the case, in the upper part. The battery is attached securely, will not fall out during use. The scale has 6 rubber ribbed feet.

Outwardly, the scales do not look bad, but upon closer examination it is clear that the plastic of the case is cheap, the electronic board is covered with a soft material that bends under the fingers. But I cannot hammer nails with scales and the parts of the plastic case do not move relative to each other. Although cheap plastic, of course, gives a cheap look to the scales, but for me it is not so important, this is a working tool, the main thing is that it works well. For those who value appearance, it is better to buy more expensive scales in a steel case.
Case size 20x14x3.5cm.
The receiving part of the thread for screwing the glass platform in the body, apparently, is metal.
The scales have two buttons, a rather poisonous blue color: one button, to the right of the display, to turn on and zero the scales "ON / TARA", the other button, to the left of the display, to switch the weighing units "MERA". The buttons are pretty tight.

But the glass platform is made of fairly thick, clean, transparent glass, without chips, sagging or other defects, with a diameter of 15 cm. Attached to the body with a steel bushing with female thread. Nice and reliable.

Operation of the device:
Place the balance on a flat, stable, horizontal surface. To turn on the scales, press the "ON / TAPA" button, after a couple of seconds the display will show the value "0g". Use the measure button to select the unit of measurement: gram (g), ounce (oz) or pound (lb).
Place the products to be weighed on the weighing plate, the display will show the weight of the product. The instructions say that the scales automatically turn off after 30 seconds, I checked with a stopwatch (on the phone), they turn off after about 2 minutes of rest. What is important for me, I will have time to move away and return to the still switched on scales.

As stated above, there is a function for zeroing the container, which is important for multi-part recipes.
I have checked the accuracy of the balance. First, I took a 900g package of cereals, the scales showed 906g.
Pressing the "ON / TARA" button reset the readings on the display.

Then I took jewelry scales and weighed an empty, lightweight, disposable, plastic, 100ml cup on them, and got the result - 1.45g

Curiously, I put the glass on the new scales, the display first showed the number 1g, then the number 2g appeared, then the scales could not decide how much the glass weighs and periodically switched from 1g to 2g and back, so this accuracy was fine for me.

For very accurate measurements, with an error of less than hundredths of a gram, I have a jewelry scale.

In order to check the upper limit of measurements, I picked up cereal packages of 5 kg (2 packages of 700g = 1.4 kg and 4 packages of 900g = 3.6kg), put them in a pile on the glass platform of the scales, when weighing it turned out 4998g.

I was quite satisfied with the test results, the scales will remain in my village kitchen.
