Sinbo SEB 5802 egg cooker review

When I saw the topic about egg cookers, I was very surprised that someone might need them.
I cooked eggs in a saucepan all my life and always got what I need at the moment. There has never been such a thing that I wanted soft-boiled, but turned out in a bag or hard-boiled. It was surprising for me to read that the vast majority of housewives cannot boil eggs in a saucepan. After all, there is nothing complicated in this process. Everything is very simple.

I will share my experience. You just need to boil once, for example, seven chicken eggs. Make it a rule for yourself to get a guaranteed stable result, you need to boil your eggs under the same conditions. As you cook now, so you need to cook later, that is, decide on which stove you will cook (gas, electric, induction), which eggs you will always use (from the refrigerator or not, large, medium or small). Place eggs in a pot of cold water and bring to a boil. At the moment of boiling, start the stopwatch. You need to cook with a slight boil of water (it is important to cook later at the same level). After three minutes, take out one egg, immediately, very quickly, put a marker on it with the number one and immediately lower it into a previously prepared container with cold water (all this takes 10-15 seconds). Then, when the stopwatch reaches four minutes, do the same with the second egg, just put the number two. And then, every minute on the stopwatch. You will get seven eggs boiled in three, four, five, six, seven, eight and nine minutes. After cooling, cut the eggs and decide how long the eggs are soft-boiled, bagged and hard-boiled. Write down the result. That's it, now you will always get eggs of the desired consistency at the moment.
Therefore, always getting excellent results, it was not clear to me why I needed an electric egg cooker. I became interested in the principle of operation and the rules for using this device. Immediately, while reading, I was surprised to find that this device has an undeniable advantage in comparison with the traditional method of boiling eggs. No need to wash the pan after boiling the eggs! And this is very important in my difficult living conditions. The first plus for purchasing an egg cooker is also decisive! The pleasant agony of choosing a particular model began. Compared the technical characteristics and prices of all egg cookers on the market. I got acquainted with the opinions of real owners of devices.
There are two types of egg cookers on the market. The first, as in this review, is based on the principle of evaporating a certain amount of water to achieve the desired result. The second has a built-in timer that regulates the boiling time of water, while water is poured in a larger volume, not tied to the result of boiling eggs. It is clear that an egg cooker with a timer (all other things being equal) will cost more.

In the end I chose Sinbo SEB 5802

The measuring cup has marks for the volume of water required for boiling from 1 to 7 eggs, depending on the desired consistency.

Cover with a lid and turn on the egg cooker. And you can go to do other things.

For the given example, after 9 minutes. 30 sec. the egg cooker switches off automatically and a signal sounds for 1 minute. 30 sec., Notifying about the complete evaporation of water and the end of the brewing process, which can be turned off with the I / O button.
To prevent the eggs from digesting, do not slowly transfer them to a container of cold water. Be careful when opening the top cover away from you, as there is remaining hot steam inside.

After the water boils off, scale forms on the surface of the heating pan.

I remove it with a cotton pad moistened with water, and then wipe it dry with a paper towel. It is imperative to remove scale so as not to disrupt the operating modes and always get an adequate result. Later, to eliminate scale, I plan to use distilled water.

To say that I am completely delighted with the egg cooker is to say nothing !!!
I bought it in order to make my life easier (there are no normal conditions for washing dishes).
But she not only in this respect met the expectation by 100%, but she really boils eggs of exactly the consistency that is required at the moment. Eggs, even hard-boiled ones, taste much tastier! The yolk and white are much more tender! There is no "rubberiness" of protein, like boiled eggs in a saucepan of water! This is due to the boiling of eggs with steam, where the steam temperature is well above 100 ° C. Plus, the shell does not crack when steamed and peels off very easily! The egg white remains completely intact, without damage!

https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/gallery/albums/userpics/112364/_____32.jpg

After boiling eggs in a saucepan with water, removing the shells and, moreover, not tearing them off along with the pieces of protein is a whole problem!
At first I thought the egg cooker was unnecessary overkill, but even after not long use, I don't want to do without it! And I can imagine the delight of those who had difficulties with the usual boiling of eggs in a saucepan of water!
I think this device is an ingenious invention! This device, I am sure, will always be in demand and will never move to the shelf of not very necessary devices !!!
It is paradoxical for some that boiling ONE egg requires more water than boiling SEVEN eggs!
I am explaining. The device is not as simple as it seems at first glance. When it was created, very precise calculations were made for the design of the egg holder and the internal volume, together with the dome, of the JV itself. This is due to the evaporation of boiling water and the number of holes covered in the egg rack.
For example, when all 7 cells are filled with eggs, the evaporation of water occurs to a lesser extent!
Accordingly, when boiling 1 egg, the evaporation of water is more intense, because the remaining 6 holes for eggs are not covered by anything, i.e.the evaporation area is larger! Accordingly, more water needs to be poured so that the cooking time remains the same as when cooking, for example, 7 eggs! This explains the different level of marks on the measuring cup for water!
For this reason, holes that are not occupied by eggs cannot be blocked with anything !!! Well, if, of course, you want to get an adequate result of the consistency of boiled eggs!
Anyone who has ever used an egg cooker will never want to do without it!

Pros:
1. Accurately graduated measuring cup, which guarantees getting boiled eggs soft-boiled, in a bag and hard-boiled.
2. The taste and quality of the boiled eggs.
3. Compact.
4. Easy to use.
5. No need to control the process of boiling eggs.
6. Automatic power off after the end of boiling eggs.
7. Eggs are easy to clean from the shell.
8. You can cook 1 to 7 eggs at once.
9. Nice looks.
10. Not expensive.
11. The length of the power cord is 95 cm (which is good, there is no need to remove the excess of a long wire anywhere).
12. The signal for the end of the brewing process lasts for 1 minute. 30 sec., Which will not let you forget about the boiled eggs.

Minuses:
1. I did not find any flaws.
